The M/V Makai is well suited for scientific research and our captain and crew have over 20 years of vessel chartering and management experience partnering with the U.S. Geological Society, the Nature Conservancy, NOAA, NASA, the University of Miami and others. This is a multi-use vessel suitable for a wide variety of oceanographic research duties. The vessel is equipped with state of the art GPS systems, quantum stabilizers, 2 high speed winches, a 5,000 lb. deck crane and an 18ft RIB. Other equipment can be readily installed as needed.
